PS-That makes sense as I can feel a little puff of air before the main stream of exhaust. And you're correct about the leak being small know, hardly noticeable after lubrication. Could you maybe send me a diagram of the insides so I can understand what's been happening? Thanks for all your help :)

wyz-The valve was a little over $11 and it did come with the connectors.

have a look at this animation>>>
Image
Look closely at the solenoid/solenoid plunger itself and notice how air passes around it once the valve is energized...

Of course this is somewhat different from your valve because it is a 5 way valve not a 4 way valve (ie. yours has common exhaust port while 5 way valves have two seperate) and because yours vents air from the solenoid through port R rather than through the top of the valve as most valves do

But still the same principle applies - solenoid opens a tiny valve that pilots air... thx to that a larger spool can be switched.. but naturally that pilot valve has to vent air somewhere
Children are the future

unless we stop them now

For that price I wouldn´t complain at all, a normal DCV on ebay it´s more than 11, plus these connectors...I would love to buy one.

Thanks a lot for the animation ps. I actually think that the problem is with the solenoid sealing face after looking at the diagram. So as long as I keep that well oiled up, I should be ok.

wyz- yes, I found it at a very good price. There is a small plaza that sells almost any electrical/ industrial application you can think of at a good price conveniently located near me. It almost makes up for not being able to order anything from here. (except amazon)
