Well solenoid piloted valves should perform in the same manner as a QEV, but the one Matty posted is a direct acting valve, and cannot be modifyed

So a 3/4 inch QEV performs as good as a 2inch solenoid valve?

What? No way, what gave you that idea?

I don't know. All the comments are confusing me.

Bigger valve equals more air flow equals moar power!!
@ L&L no need to modify, its pretty much plug and play.

This thread has been pretty much about QEV's so I thought I would kind of change it and say. Is there someone who has a 2inch valve who is willing to sell it for a reasonable price?

From the link...
125PSI (850kPa) Max, 1 3/4" Orifice
Edit. It is a 1-1/2 inch valve. Found the PDF.

Flow CV is listed as 51.

It says it has 3 inch ports but they are definatly not. I seen this one too and my eyes lit up when I saw 3 inch. They are either 1 or 1 1/2 inch. Also I dont know how good this one would be under pressure due to those ports.
@wyz2285 I said basically the same thing, not the same thing.
@jsefcifk no, its not that easy.

Is this type of sprinkler valve modifyable. I'm going to pilot it with a 1inch orbitz valve.

For the 100th time, try to make a offer on this valve. Then you dont have to mod it it or pilot it with another valve.

Actually, I bid 30 dollars on the thing, never thinking the guy would go for it and he accepted the offer. I DO NOT want the thing, if you do, I will message him and tell him to give it to you. Let me know asap!!

I'm looking for a 2inch sprinkler valve again so if you have one let me know. If we can agree on a fair price I'll buy it.

Be patient with e bay. One will pop up eventually. The 2 inch valve is def better for soda cans but I think you should at least try a 2 1/2 inch barrel on your dust collector. Keep in mind you can go well over 200 psi with it where with a sprinkler valve you cant go anywhere near that because its only pvc. Also a 3/4 qev would be the way to go to pilot the big sprinkler valve not a 1/4 inch qev. I think evan made a typo!!

My cement is only rated to 180 so I cant go that high.

Yeah, I wouldn't take 2" PVC over 150PSI even if it's rated for 260PSI without hydrostatic testing it.

I keep forgetting My cannon is schedule 80. In all the pressure tests I have seen the pipe always breaks not anywhere near the fittings or around them.
