It seems you misunderstand the chamber data input.
OD is the OD of the inside volume of the chamber, aka the ID of the pipe you use for it. OD is the OD of your barrel port if you're using a coax. Since this is not coax, it is zero.
Your valve could be modeled better as a barrel sealing valve with a seat dia of .375, a piston diameter of (measured would be good), but probably about .75 and weight of maybe half an ounce. Vend diameter is probably something like .0625", but you could measure. This is the diameter of the inlet into the solenoid part, or the outlet, whichever is smaller. Pilot volume maybe .5 cu in.
It is worth noting that this valve may have 1/4 the flow as a 1" sprinkler valve.
With a 1" valve, your chamber can be as short as 4-5", (140 fps with 24" Overall all length), cutting down on air consumption. That should get you 160 ft with a 10 degree "lob"

Or as I prefer to think of it....ramses wrote:OD is the OD of the inside volume of the chamber, aka the ID of the pipe you use for it. OD is the OD of your barrel port if you're using a coax. Since this is not coax, it is zero.
The reservoir's job is to contain a volume of air.
OD is the outside diameter of the volume of air contained by the reservoir.
ID is the inside diameter of the same volume of air....
Gotcha! thanks for clearing that up guys. I knew my calculations seemed off. I re-ran the calculations, and I think ill give it a shot and see how this valve does. I'll give you guys an update over the next couple days to see how things go. If its a failure, Ill move to the 1" sprinkler valve design and just figure out a nice way to cover it. I wonder if there is a 1" solenoid with a lower profile?
