I like the photo transister one. I also have a decent understanding of electronics so i might try it. Also good job on yours

8tonsemi, earlier you said that you wanted something that you could take anywhere.... With mr. C's photransister chronograph, you would have to drag the rig and laptop around. Where as with softchrono, you just have to take a laptop around. It isn't quite as accurate but considering that you will probably only be lobbing fairly low velocity, heavy projectiles out of your cannon(s), accuracy shouldn't really be a concern
