I'm not one for repetition so I've had to dig this old gem out of the archives to express the collective feelings of most people on this forum after reading that post. I did spell your name wrong, I'll give you that. Though, given enough time, you'll probably find that Matty didn't spell anything wrong.

Thus parents must teach their kids from making dumb mistakes.

If I was your dad and still married to your mom I would simple say "Honny, you hold him down and I'll whack him with this mallet!".

If you don't like the mallet idea...make it willow switch then...it DOES make an impression that one remembers.

I'm not even that old, and I can remember the agonizing walk to cut a switch from the tree. I remember trying to cut as slow as I could with the pruning saw. Ah good times.

I just turned 18 and even I grew up like that. Picking the switch was worse than the actual whipping. :shaking:

I'm younger than you (not by much, but I am), and it doesn't matter, because it wouldn't happen- I own my own car. Perhaps it's time for you to consider a similar investment?

And anyway, I'd secure it. But in your situation I'd pay for my error and apologise, and learn from the fuck up

Don't get too down on it- at work a coworker put the lawnmower trailer on and drove the lawnmower on (it's a $30k lawnmower and registered, quicker to put it on the trailer to take it places sometimes though). Going down the highway at 90, and the trailer and lawnmower fall off due to him not putting the trailer on properly. Granted, mistakes happen, but it's happened 3 times now
