if you have a 1 inch barrel sch40 pvc, c batteries fit great

Not necessarily. human lawn darts anyone? :lol: On the topic of caulk, I've found that caulk tubes tend to fit very snugly in 2'' SCH80. A full tube could be devastating and perhaps a little messy. Hmm...
