Here's the loading and firing sequence for the benefit of the prospective owner:

I'd advise against loading a pressurised launcher..
It would be better to reverse that bit.

Point in a safe direction during the charging process though...

It looks awesome!
I believe I had a smile from ear to ear when I saw you thread on the firing cap.. :D
Priceless!

You could do an extra endcap with the internals of a ballpointpen attached..that would fit the barrel..
You'll have a functional pen...

The reason for that is that if the piston isn't closed, you risk pushing the pellet too far in and this might jam the piston, critical since it cannot be dismantled.

cheers :) machine tools FTW!

That's actually a very good idea! Don't have time to do it before going abroad tomorrow though.

It's a tight fitt, the barrel is not rifled right?? Any chrono data?

Smooth bore, didn't have time to chrony it but it should be doing around 250 fps with a 16 grain pellet.

Feel brave enough to use 200 bar? That should make this truly useful.

This is already in the post, in any case that pressure will be impossible to pilot with a Schrader, so it would have to be a qdv of sorts. Or a hybrid, that ,s still in the works

Why? It's too hard to open?

Around 6.5 kg of force... Bit of stretch for a thumb trigger

The Schrader valve stem would break quickly from the repeated strain, and besides a spring loaded mechanism would take up a lot of length which would limit your barrel length and chamber size even further.

This is how I would make it:

That should be easy to open at any pressure, and using the barrel as a pump tube offers the realistic prospect of taking it to 200 bar manually.
