Is that a Vortex Strikefire RDS? Looks like mine that sits on top of a S&W M&P15-22 I got.

Don't remember, back to when I bought it cost me close to 70 euros that's all I remember

By the way, finished. Terrible woodworking I know

And that's why you were asking about milling dovetails.
Eh, I wouldn't fret about the woodworking. If that works, then who really cares. At most, I would want to add a cheek riser to the stock.

I thought about it, maybe later.

Well I do

and so does my dad who paid these for my machines, he wouldn't want to see anymore crap from now on

Everything's a learning experience, so now you know what NOT to do.
I'm not too different though, I don't like doing what I'd consider a half-assed job. I wouldn't call myself a perfectionist, but sometimes my stubbornness to put function over form when I should gets in the way.
Just remember, perfection is the enemy of good enough.

My problems is, I'm kind a perfectionist about the function (you may say it's ironic how this project didn't work, but I managed to change to airsoft barrel and made it work wonderfully). But after all worked as I wanted, my will of continuing stops

that's why I don't have much clean builds.

Eh, nothing inherently wrong with that. I like it, especially the simple bar shaped receiver.

Thanks

however this design made a magazine attachment very difficult to achieve, so the slow reload means I probably won't take this to a airsoft skirmish full of AEGs...

Fun.
I think you need a larger bolt handle, though.
