I am thinking of scraping the diaphram valve and converting it to a over-under type spud gun. Do you think pressure rated hose would work instead of elbows? heres pic of the idea I made in ms paint..

The hose will fold,elbows will work much better ,besides a hose will also constricked flow.

Having like a 4" chamber reducing down to a 1/4" hose, NO. You would get multiple shots though.
