you shouldnt use axe or hairspray you need to use butane from the lighter that you buy for the sparker. thats what i used and it works like a dream

Axe works fine but with butane (for me aleast) its hard to get the right mixture(In a mini). Suprisingly the axe dosent make my gun stink either. Butane is hard to get into vapors to thats why i think it doesnt work as well :? .

I forgot to mention but 3/4 inch CPVC. Fits paintballs GREAT.

CPVC is pvc in copper sizes, a bit flimsy but you can sleeve it, i can't remember in what tho.

About the fuel mixture with butane: Imade one last night, and got it to shoot 3 times. of course i can't remeber what i did each time, so its impossible to to again. my friend recently made one and he figured it out after 2 hours of tinkering. I doubt anyone wants to spend that much time!

I made a mini out of 2 couplings, a 2" - 3/4" reducer, 4"of 2" sch 40, and an end cap. I still have to run back to the hardware store to get an igniter/barrel setup. I'm planning to drill a cone-shaped hole for butane/axe injection. pics soon to come.

... you dont want uncovered holes in your launcher dude, just use a screw off cap, alot safer

thanx, i read somewhere that ppl used to just have a hole in the end cap which they waved a match in front of, so i figured that it would be ok to have a small hole like that. then it would be easier, w/out having to take off the end cap every time.

hey, I made one of these devild and I was wondering how much axe to put in...i'm not doing somethin right. I think that I need to put less than I am in, but it's hard, when you're hardly putting anything in! These things are very tempermental.

Your proably putting in to much still. What i do is spray in the smallest amount of Axe possible wave the gun around a couple of times then screw on the cap. Thats what i do with my gun and i bet your chamber is smaller so you need even less fuel. Thats cool that you made a mini!

I Recently made one myself too, but i've been having problems and im hoping if someone can help me, when i first made it everythign worked fine, i even got 3 or 4 great shots out of it, but all of a sudden it just stopped working, i tried several different amounts of propellent(im using some old cologne that works quite wellf or me) but now no matter what i do it just wont seem to ignight until i take the cap off. does anone have any ideas? im really stumped!

The same thing happened to me! Theres a few things you can do. First try messing around with your igniter because those little things are ultra-sensitive. Second change fuels(and amounts). And third check your spark gap it has to be very small as well as clean.

try not to get residue on the electrodes for the sparker when u spray it in. this stops a spark jumping

actually...i made a mini but out of a small gatoraid bottle...its so sweet..since the plastic is flexible i used some duct tape to keep the bottel from exploding..the cap has never shot off and i get shots over 60 feet...my barrel is just a pen the same as yours....when i shoot it i can feel the bottel expanding i love it!

duct tape isnt gonna stop it from exploding dude, the cap would blow off anyway before the whole bottle blew i think. that's not a good sign when you can feel it expanding, you might want to get a more sturdy chamber. your barrel is too small for such a large bottle, that may contribute to the expanding

Your one of those people that likes to live life on the edge. If that happened to me i would of droped the gun and never touched it again. Just like spudshot said put a bigger barrel on and youll proably get better performance.
