sch 40 has nothing to do with pressure. Sch 40 is the thickness of the pipe.

look for "sch" on pipe but NSW-NF or something along those lines could someone correct me im not sure if its NSW-NF something like that :oops:

For combustions all really need to do is make sure it doesn't say "Cellular Core" on the pipe.

NSF-PW = "Potable Water" and is pressure rated.
NSF-DWV = "Drain, Waste, Vent" and is sometimes pressure rated.

It's only pressure rated if it has a pressure rating printed on the pipe.

Sch. 40 is the size and has nothing to do with the pressure rating of the particular pipe.
