Jeez you're lucky. 10' of 1 1/2" pressure rated is like 8 bucks or something. 2" is $2.25 a foot or 10 feet 10 bucks. I'm not even sure if I can get pressure rated 4". One store has only 10 foot lengths that are pressure rated and only go up to 2", and the other store I go to has 20 foot lengths of up to 4" and 10 foot lengths up to 2" but the 10 foot lengths aren't pressure rated and I'm not sure if the 20 foot lengths are.

i knew that but we were trying to find things that could be used for a piston because you said you couldnt find anything thats the reason why your going diaphragm

Salad's idea for a piston would be like 10 pounds and a diaphragm is just a lot simpler anyways.

Sorry to kick the topic but i deem it neccessary.
Was this cannon ever built?

It takes a while to build something like this. Give him some slack.

Nothing at all has happened. I might just leave the pipe sit there another couple months, who knows? I just really don't have enough money to use on that right now and I don't have an air compressor, so pumping it up with a bike pump would be kind of tedious.

Kind of tedious, more like a day job. A shop here sells outside diameter caps to match pipes, being that a 4" cap will fit perfectly into a 4" pipe. this could be a piston. Sorry for the suggestion of something other than a diaphram but this would be quite the perfect idea.

Lol More like a 30 day job to get it to 1psi.

All my other guns take like 15 pumps to get to 80, but a 20 foot long piece of 8" pipe? That would take just too long. Or I could buy a Co2 regulator, but it would probably use a whole 20 oz tank to get it to 40 psi.

my bb rifle goes to 200-210 psi with 15 pumps.

That's because it shoots BBs. If your trying to shoot some 4" fruit with your fatty cannon it takes a few more than 15-20.

you could use a nerf ball for a piston

I doubt a Nerf ball would be rigid enough to hold any signifigant(sp) ammount of pressure.
