Hah! I'm a tesla enthusiast, just not enough funding.... lol, a while ago a put 2 and 2 together to get a pineapple, no, wait, a super-awesome ignition system. To bad I don't have any cash to build a coil....

Just buy a micro mini mite tesla coil from Amazing1.com. A 12 regargeable battery will give you a constant 3/4" spark. I have one and it's awesome.

Tesla coil?
Pah, MY cannons ignition is an attachment to a lightning rod.
Just have to wait a while between shots
Honestly though it's a total waste of time and effort. Plus it makes it all a lot more dangerous.
All you NEED is a tiny spark, barely a mm long.
6" arcs of plasma is not required.

More dangerous? barely. you can contact a properly tuned tesla coil's output with a metal object with no electrocution. I would make one of these on my combustion because I would be the only person able to say that I have a 250000000 volt AC ignition system, plus big sparks are just cool.

Just put this into your chamber!

But they're damn cool.

Hmm i prefer connecting wire to high voltage power lines for an igniton source, don't have to wait to long.
Actually this might be a good idea, i think the guy at powerlabs made a mini one which worked good, and i know its pretty easy to make ones from junk and stuff lying around. I might have to try this.

Yea, well you don't necessarily NEED a potato cannon that can launch a potato 300+ yards, but you have one anyway right?

Hmph.
It breaks my rules of practicality.
I like it when things are used creatively and economically
