Lol I told my mum i'd invented it (She had never heard of spudguns) and she was amazed, and impressed and let me keep it!

My parents at first were very Anti-spudding. But after convincing them that its alot safer than spending my money on drink/drugs like most of my other peers they let me build a mini pill-bottle one.

From there I showed my parents that I wouldn't shoot my brother and sister with it or shoot any dangeruse objects.

Eventually I got to convinve my dad to help me build my first combustion cannon, which didnt work at all, but he did help me build it.


Well, the fact is, just show them that you are responsible enough not to shoot your eye(s) out with a small mini and just work up from there.

Ok i'll try some of that stuff and see if it works (my dads kind if an ass though)

If you build a pneumatic (do it do it) don't ever tell them about how high your going to fill it.

and say you fill it with a bike pump not compressor coz they will think it only pumping to 40-60psi which is bike tyre pressure.

Yaaa, use a bike pump, make it seem 4th grade science kind of stuff.
A compressor, use that after teh ylearn to trust you.

I'm to short on cash for a pneumatic at the moment...

all your gonna need for a pnuematic is a sprinkler valve ($10) barrel pipe ($3) chamber pipe ($5) an end cap ($1) 2 non threaded to threaded adapters ($2) and a scrhader valve ($1)

You don't need to build a fancy pneumatic (^^^) Just build an in-line pvc pneumatic. Tell them you are making a squirt gun, it will be able to hold water, then you could secretly shoot it in a remote location. All you need is a chamber, ball valve, barrel, scharder and pressure gauge(preferably on pump, so not damaged by water) and there you have it! Basic pneumatic cannon/ "squirt gun".

If that doesn't work walk outside, lay on the ground and play dead until they get let you make one. Or do something more dangerous, like playing with bears.

$60 nzd thats gotta be at least $40 us, thats insane is it gold plated? 1" cap costs me 75 cents, never needed a 4" one but i bet there like $5 here. have you ever been to home depot?

I play with bears all the time. Im with DEMON you should make a very basic gun and tell them its for school or something like that. Really a ball valve is all you need to out perform the most common combustion guns. I hope you get them convinced and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!

not gold plated just normal end cap rated to 260psi i believe.
we dont have home depot and even a plumbing merchant sells them at that price.

now we all know gort is that person......jkz but if you want proof theyre $60NZD pimp i can take a pic, i can get it for $55 at a plumbing merchant.

p.s why dont you guys go to plumbing merchants?i went into one all innocent(sp?) looking and it would of cost me $180(at a hardware sotre $220) but instead he gave it to me at trade price for $120
