Relax, it's not CIA. It's just some tracker loaded by some adware/spyware. You should scan your system and disinfect it. CIA is way too clever to use a simple hidden file that you can trip over...

The CIA uses TCP/IP trackers at the ISP level, and they monitor traffic externally to your system. It's not possible for you to see what they're doing because they are one level upstream from you.

Makes you feel good, eh?

It's not CIA, they only use passive monitoring at the ISP level. It's not possible for you to see what they're doing because it's all on level upstream from your system... And by the way, the NSA is responsible for surveillance in-country...

cudgel is correct, the CIA/NSA won't put anything on your comptuer, and if they did... well you woulden't find it. Windows is believed to have various back doors and master passwords and such for govt use.

And do you have/had any files on your website named anything similar to that? Sounds like some sort of temp file or something got backed up with your site.

So the name seems like a .part file. Thay some times show up when you download a large file but they usually dissapear when the operation is done. You copy the file to a folder, run a virus check on it. Then deleate the file from the server. once thet is dont check the website works.

the file isn't on the server thats why i was confused. i think i figured it out ms office 2003 creates temporary files when you edit html files with it it adds a ~$ infront of them and makes the hidden. i just remember that when i regestered ms word i regestered it as the "central intelegence agency" now that doesnt explain the jackjack8 but i bet its not really an html file is some file ms word uses if the computer crashes and you need to recover the file cause it wasn't saved. man wish i would of remeber the regestering part earlier i wouldn't of freaked out.
