servos are complicated but i know people who have used them with like pic microcontrollers, dont know how to do it with a computer cant be much harder though. using stepper moters wold save me alot of time and money cause i got alot of old dot matrix printers in my basement.

Here is something simpler (dont know exactly what you are looking for). Its a sentry turret that doesnt rotate (as in turret) but a similar idea.

hey guys
i made this thing that will follow motion, it will compair positions every 100 ms and if it moves more than 5 pixels, it will move the gun and shoot, if it does not move more than 5 pixels, it will remember the last position so you can't sneak by it really slow.
i got a question, should the gun be shooting during moving or move then shoot after the gun stopped moving? speed of the gun is an issue here if it cant keep up with the target
or should i scrap auto fire and have it track but let a human operator identify and shoot?
and why did irwinner delete his first post?
this is a pain in the ass, you need 3 programs running at once, my turing program which operates the gun's hardware, a colour tracker made in visual basic made by a guy meant for cheating in a game, and that flash program fiveseven linked to. if anybody knows anything about visual basic, i need to help since i don't know shit about vb
