I havent taken any pics yet because ive been busy. since i have joint custody it could take up to like five days but ill try to get some in soon.
Obviously I'm not intending to shoot someone with it that hard. That's why I WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE REGULATOR! fyi. but anyhoo. uhhh ...(submit)

Regulators would be hard to make, this is why they cost so much.
For a paintball cannon you should not exceed the velocity of 300fps. (like all paintball guns). Here are regulators you put on your co2 tank, they are adjustible, so you can play around with the pressure until you fire at the right velocity:

You would have to use a piston valve or a quick exhuast valve for the most efficiency. (also a diaphram valve would do)

uhh yea thats a tad pricy...I pay $50 to make the gun and $100 for one measly regulator...I dont tink so...

I suppose but ... idk.. I just dont want to spend that much money.
Is it possible to prehaps have a pvc chamber with a ball valve on one end with a CO2 canister behind the ball valve. (obviously the sprinkler valve would be on the other end.) Could that idea work?

Yes, but you risk accidently putting the full pressure of co2 into the pvc chamber which is around 800psi. Keep in mind that 2" pvc is only rated to 230 psi. So an accidental release of 800psi into the chamber would produce flying shrapnel. Very painfull if you were standing next to it or even worse holding it.

I think a regulator works like that. There is just a stout spring pushing up on a plate that is partially blocking the outlet hole.
With that being said it doesnt seem like it would be
that hard to make one. You would need to have the plate seal on the inside of the thing though.
EDIT: to the guy above me: Those cheap Wal-Mart guns DO NOT have regulators on them. Some of the other guns there may look like they have a regulator on them but it is usually just a chamber. Sometimes it is an expansion chamber which makes the CO2 travel further therefore having less of a chance to get liquid CO2 into the gun.

Oh my God NOOO! I am not a girl!! That was back in the day (last year) when I had Fabio hair! lol That sucks...
I was thinking about using steel piping before the CO2 canister and having a steel valve between the pvc and steel canister fitting.
But in regaurds to the ripped up gun for the regulator, I dont think it would be as powerful as I want if its that cheap. I'll probably go with the steel stuff for my next gun. I'll get some pics up of my first gun soon. Like in a couple of days.
