It happens on the inside of the pipe, and I'm pretty sure that the heat from repeated combustions would destroy the paint leaving the metal once again vulnerable.

Its actuly 2/3Hydrogen to 1/3 0xygen, hence H2O.

i have tried it and it is really easy to fire it. But if you put too much, u will blow your self up. I tried putting "too much" hydrogen in it so it would'nt fire, and i was unsuccesfull

do you have a method to compress your H or are you just hoping it will end up in your chamber somehow. Hint, it goes right through balloons pretty fast. I's suggest "pouring" it underwater, where you can see it.
P.S. dont smoke while doing this.
PPS if you keep it in a jar, keep the jar upside down, with water in the bottom.

Yeah, I don't know who put that up, and I doubt it's veracity.
...My understanding is that embrittlement is a problem for those aiming to store hydrogen pressureized at a few thousand PSI, not for pipe that happen to be exposed te it for a bit.

none of the hydrogen burned in this "Blimp"
the chemicals that where used to coat the fabric of the hindinburg was highly toxic and flamible, so a spark made the coating burst in to flames. When i hold finally idd burn through all the gass ecaped to quickly that the blimp just fell.
Before you open you mouth do some research.

HAYLO_Stealer, how about you do some research. The skin THEORY is only a THEORY on how the Hindenburg Crashed. The Mythbusters covered this and came to the conclusion that although the skin did create MINOR thermite reactions, the reason the hindenburg blew up and killed everyone was a combination of the skin and hydrogen. I beleive it was probably more on the hydrogen side but they did not test to see which one was more of the cause.

First, congratulations are in order for a completely original idea. Bravo.
Now that the sarcasm is out of the way, I need to clear up a few things that people have mentioned:
squeaks- By the time you pay the electric bill, you would have probably been better off using propane.
judgment_arms- Hydrogen isn't what made the Hindenburg go up in flames. It certainly didn't help things, but it would have completely burned either way.
squeaks (again)- As much as I'd love to see you get into a yelling (squeaking?) match about this, I feel I must butt in. Originally the 'skin theory' was thought up shortly after the incident by a female German scientist. Well, the German's didn't want to show any weakness, especially with what was going on in the world. So, it was pretty thoroughly covered up. (Or at the very least, not very well publicized.) Since then, modern scientists have tested the theory, even going so far as to place a piece of the original Hindenburg 'skin' in a Jacob's Ladder. The stuff goes up like a flare. Not to mention that all the personal accounts and recent colorizing of the film suggest that little hydrogen burned, and certainly wasn't the point of ignition. (It is very hard to light a fuel with no oxidizer) The first hand accounts don't even coincide with a leak catching fire, then spreading to the skin.
By the way, these modern scientists, and even the one from the 30's were a lot more though than our favorite TV detectives. Not to mention better informed, educated, and trained in this field.
