Ok, I can't take the monitar in my storage apart and I don't have a spare TV. Where else would you find a flyback transformer? On that link in the first page it says you can make a plasma ball out of the flyback transformer. I have an old plasma ball I don't use anymore because it has a crack in the center ball, above the coil.

I suspect there might be something like what I am looking for inside it. I can't see and screws on the body, I think it is held together by clips. I will try to take it apart soon.

*I opened it, I think there might be something usefull. I no nothing about electronics.

I've got an old TV in my closet. I could tear it open and try to find a flyback for you.

And then send it to South Africa.... :P Thanks for the offer though.
I am sure I can find someone with an old TV but I will most likely get it from a computer monitar.

Rather save it for when you need it. Thanks for the offer though.
I am doing some concept drawings, I should have them up by tomorrow.

Do any of you know I can use fiberglass or some other substance to make a custom body for the combustion? To make it truly unique.

I am also wondering about the propane metering system, the threads on my big tank are slightly bigger than 1/2'', what do I need to connect it to the metering system?

And what would I need to fit the small hand held single use tanks to my metering system? What cheap regulator do I need? Any one in particular that is meant for propane?

I have done concept drawings, simple ones. I have also been woodworking today, I am making the body/mounts for acessories out of hard wood.
Have a look at the pics.

Thanks but I would really rather find one than spend money. How do you like the chamber so far? I am going to make it look really good.

Thats really cool looking. In the concept drawing the thing under the chamber is the propane right? The chamber looks cool already and if you can get it to look like the drawings that would be very cool looking. If you had aluminium it would look awesome.

Yes it would look cool. Wood will do fine.

I am also going to add padding to the back of the cannon, for my shoulder. Maybe swade or leather, something nice. It will look different to the concept drawings.
