Sorry im pretty new, maybe you can help me... i dont know if having that black little ¨screw¨ not on the center of the valve would make a problem by modding it. Can i simply remove and put the blow gun in there?

So from what i read the bleed screw stays in place... and drill the hole in the center if it has no guide rod... right???

The bleed screw can stay or be removed. If it is removed, the hole should be filled in. The hole drilled just needs to be able to vent the pilot area. Technically (if at all possible) it could be drilled to the side of the valve. But, yes, most people place the hole in the center (if there is no guide rod) for convenience.

Ok thanks a lot for that FAST reply!!! In case of having a guide rod i only have to ¨move¨ where the hole has to be, no other thing has to be done i guess?

Yes, leave the rod and drill the hole to the side of it. Take off the lid so you know exactly where to put it.

Well, you do have to pay a little more attention when tapping through a lid with a guide rod. Sprinkler valves will have a guide for the spring on the lid and you have to make sure that a fitting will not interfere with the spring, as some fittings will enter past the lid. I've done this and have been fine and some, and I've had the spring jam on others.

With that said, it is much easier to work from the inside, out when the lid contains a guide rod.
