yeah your right alkalineall, it gets kinda annoying when people nag you about using dwv, even when you have already mentioned you know the dangers with using it. And with a big gun, a low pressure still packs a punch.
well fortuannatly with me, the neighbor's house i hit wasn't the neighbor who i put a golfball through the windsheild of his brand new truck. (that guy still doesn't know it was me thank god.) also the neighbor i hit is usually pretty cool about me shooting my cannons, so he let me off easy.

woh man! That thing is crazy! If dwv is safe to that, I'll make one of these and use it at about 50 psi. Again, nice job dude.

yeah, and if you do decide to "accidently" shoot your neibors house dont shoot a battery at their mail box. (my neibors no longer have a mail box  )

If you want to feel safer aobut that cleanout cap I saw brass repair cleanout caps at Rocky's Ace Hardware. I have one on the back of my combustion becuase I heard about it exploding in peoples faces and I have never had a problem......... Just tell me you arent firing that thing when you are behind it or even remotely close. I dont want a crazy cannon maker like you with holes in your body!

And, I forgot to say FRIGGIN SWEET CANNON! I like how the stand absorbs the recoil. Im making a 3in Coaxial that fits inside a 4 inch pipe with springs in the back so its like a howitzer when it goes off.......... looks like someone already had my idea......

thanks might look into it, but right now i feel fine about the clean out cap now thats its been filled with durnhams rock hard water puddy and epoxy. ill try and take a pic of the reinforced cap so you guys can see what i did but it could be a while cause all my efforts are focused on the construction of my hybrid which has a 5 ft long 6" diam chamber and 30ft long 2" diam barrel.
oh yeah, good luck on your cannon, looking foreward to seein' it.

It's not that the cap's gonna explode, it's that with the short thread length, it's more likely to "slip" out or buckle. All you have to do to fix it is solvent weld a male adapter to an end cap and voila.

thats a good idea, but like i said, my efforts and money are focused on my hybrid, i might get around to replacing the cap in the summer.
