There’s no such thing as too much power you know. Plus I still don’t think that going to be enough, you’ll need a ladder sight for thirty yards…

judment arms if you say you thought of this before I'll belive you, preloaded cartridges are an existing concept

anyways today this morning before school I got an  a problem with these cartridges are the price for each so just use bottles or jars to solve the price problem maybe short size water bottles. And for this hybrid system the burst disk dosn't have the same as conventional, it could be held on by friction like the end cap, heck the end cap could be the sabot, or projectile

edit: oh sorry I didn't notice the second page, but good design pyro maniac
is it auto my judgment and gun knoladge tell me that "long blowback/recoil operated" guns don't work well, but hey I don't really know how most spud gunners make their cartridge guns

what the hell just forgive me for double posting cause I don't want to edit my post for the 3rd time, here
pyro how do you get the bolt to lock on the cartridge?

look, I'm refineining my crappy diagram but... the this is bolt action, it's locked in place at the foward position and alittle hook thing pulles it back when it's spent... you can't se it well but these's a grove in the valve.

Hey your design’s awesome its way better than the crap I make on paint, in fact I can’t find any problems, just add some text

I think its cool but you could make them combustion only. Oh wait you might have trouble with the fuel settling that way :( .

maybe it could be combustion only if I used a normal bottle cartridge but the aim is for compact cartridges with practical power

Forget bolt action, go automatic just remove the locking mechanism. A straight combustion would be possible, but it would be just as easy if not easer to make it hybrid.
Money really isn’t a problem if you think about it, the case IS reload able, and if you make it big now you wont have to make a bigger one latter…never mind…
If anybody out there’s got the time, money, and inclination to make an automatic hybrid remember the bigger the bullet the more it kicks, the more it kicks the easy it will be to get the thing to cycle. Try something like ice, pycrete, concrete, etc. Recoil operation is really simple Google it, you’ll be surprised on how easy it is.

uhh a few probs....
1-there is no backing or suport for the cartrige...it would basicly just backfire wich could be harmful
2-how is ammo "in" the burk disk?

as for who ever stated fuel settling it's simple to fix!
shake the cartrige then load it! lol

here is my re-make of your re-make
