Keep up the good work mate. Ball valves are better than burst disks in my opinion, no need to replace it really. Nice work I'd put it on a stand and put her up to 300-500 psi and let it rip. Have fun mate :thumbright:

Freak I dislike people who underestimate others because you new here!!
But thats beside the point... Nice cannon, I really like it and that was a decent idea with the welding tank. as everyone else says, if you want to improve it, look for valve options, but ball valves work fine!
Peace
O ja, whats up with Australia, all of South Africa is going there!!!!!

Very nice!!
May I suggest a hybrid, it looks like it is totally set up for hybrid operation, all you need to do is change it to a burst disc and your set!!
With that tank you could take it to like5-6x mix, maybe acetylene + Oxygen

That tank may have been for nitrogen, or a nitrogen mix. Otherwise maybe oxygen. Do you have the valve, or any other info on the tank? Then we could better figure out what it held, and in turn how much it could handle pressure wise. But regardless, it is at least as strong as a CO2 bottle, and will obviously handle full pressure CO2. So I say, find a valve capable of 1000PSI, and some pipe, and get at it. If you could make a piston valve strong enough, you'd have a total beast.

I'm not a fan of a ball valve, but since it is a high pressure gun I'll let it go. Other than that, very nice.

Well that would obviously be from a welding supply store;)

well obviously so, but i haven't seen anything like that in the stores around here. its rather strange. i think it may just be that the city folk in the area don't do anything with their hands. they pay to have it done. its a waste.
