thanks guys

instead of doing the bbq igniter ive gone with the camera flash ignition
but ive run into a problem i have taken it out and soldered my wires to were the flash points used to be and i hold down that button until the led goes red put the to wires together and bang big spark. how ever. how do i keep the two wires together charge it up and then have the flash (if i keep them together it dosent charge).. to give you a better idea of were i am (Look at this page http://www.angelfire.com/80s/sixmhz/camera.html )
im up to the bit were i soldered the third wire onto the trigger transformer out put were should this wire go to

wait, you can't buy epoxy in wal-mart? Where, in the U.S.?

i just did the same thing (but for a coil gun instead) i think that it might have something to do with the little copper strip that was attatched to the back of the reflective piece behind the flash. mabye it grounded it. if you follow the line from the strip, it goes through a little electronic thing (not sure what) and back to the original switch. not sure what that means.

hey mate

thanks for the reply.
i ended up placing a switch in the middle of the wires. the spark seems smaller but it should be fine. ill try connect it to a spark plug

get a friend to buy it or someone older if not order 1 from ebay u can pick up cheap ones i picked up 10 click lighters for £1.95 off ebay took out the lighter igniter
