Thanks Arsenal, I didn't think of that. I'll keep my eyes open for one. Generally, the only brands of fittings I can find are LASCO and MILTON. Do you think they would work?

They could, but the hex end is also the "plug" end which has the wall. You could always lathe down the hex.

If you found a DURA plug, you can just cut the hex end off because the wall is opposite it. The you would have a nice piston.

hmm thats interesting, I might have to look at some of those.

you could use a sander too to get off the ridges.

I do like the way you made your barrel removable.
You should in vest in a 3/4 inch modded sprinkler valve to make it easyer to fire.
