I caught your goodbye thread but wasn't able to leave a reply, I'm sorry to see you leave. I mean, you are one of the few people who can put up with me

Back on topic before everyone starts yelling at me, that is an A-MAZING pistol! You should run through the streets of your new hometown, wearing a loincloth and a cowboy hat and firing that pistol and the sawn-off into the air. Then you might want to change your name and hightail it to a foreign country

Whahaha!!

You guys are crazy.

Please don't bother PCGUY about the competition.
He bent the rules for me to enter last time.( partially finished)
So he's right to disallow this entry.

I won't be around to see who wins and I didn't make it to win a prize.

Reading how everybody loves it is good enough for me.
It means a lot to me..

Now to answer some questions..

I don't have a chrony, so I can't tell you any more specs.
It's damb ( I know) loud, I can tell you that!
With such a short barrel I doubt it will penetrate plywood. I'm a little short of targets because of the move...

The diaphram is just a piece of coned rubber that fits tighty in the chamber. It is pressed against the barrel by filling from the rear.Because it's tapered air can leak into the chamber, but not back.
Like the rubber in a bike pump.Pull the trigger, the pilot dumps, the conic shape seals off the pilot and the whole diaphram shoots back and opens up the barrel.Very ..BOOOM like

The hammer...mmm I thought about it, but it wouldn't do justice to the "no nonsense"philosophy...It would have no function.
Besides, I would want it to really work and that would not be so easy.

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.

Do you just use a diaphragm or you use some kind of piston and do you have a spring behind it? Doesnt the barrel cut into the piston/diaphragm?

The diaphram is just a piece of 8mm thick neoprene rubber. It has a spring behind it, wich is backed directly by the ball of the ballvalve( it never opens fully)

The barrel has a modified solderfitting on it providing a slightly larger surface area for the rubber diaphram to seal against.Otherwise the barrel would cut into the rubber I suppose.

Do you care if I replicate your gun? Do you think it can shoot at 500-600 fps?
