2" trailer balls (That was my vid mentioned) work very well if you can fin a cheap or free source. Aluminum caulking tubes ballasted with a little thinset or portland cement are the cats ass. Many vids of these can be found at www.xr650r.us/cannon/steel and two are at youtube under "ke1lb".
I have a 3.5" barrel downstairs that I'm pretty sure will work with 1l soda bottles.
