Sprinkler Modification

I have recently started work on a large cannon and am looking to buy a 2" sprinkler valve. My question: could this valve be modded?

but where exactly would i drill?

maybe you may not have to drill at all.

just remove the bleed valve and install your fitting in the remaining hole

Good idea, I didn't really want to drill into a $60 valve.
One more question: When I mod the sprinkler valve, will a blowgun have enough flow to open the valve quickly? Or should I go with a ball valve or another alternative?
