As I have said before, I really dont care about racking up my posts and how do you plan on attaching the net? And where do you plan on storing it? Also, how do you plan on the net opening if the barrels are all straight, which then leads to how you plan on attaching the barrels at a slight canter.

im working on a way to curve the barrels. I was thinking of putting them at angles sort of like to you make the flair on pvc rockets.

you heat up the pvc then bend it slightly outwards.

Also ill attack the net by cutt in holes in all of the balls the butting the end of the net in and use some of those tubes of cement for keeping it in.

It wouldint be too hard to store in my basement.

I meant like on the gun, where are you going to stow the exposed net and prevent it from getting tangled up before firing it?

I guess i could make it 5 barreled, instead o fhaveing a tee go to 2 tees have a 4 way goign to 2 tees. have a fifth tennis ball on the top of the net.

When I read "gun for sister", I got the impression you were making a gun to use on your sister... either that or describing a very good swap deal :D

Edit: on a more serious note, have a look here and here for some inspiration

I am mildly confused on what you are attempting to say here. Are you trying to mod two tees to make a four junction? Either way, I hope you post the gun on here so we can all see the finished product (figuratively and literally).

Just a thought. Have four tennis balls connected via a short length of string to each of the four corners of ur net. If ur barrel's are long enough... put something in between them for example a tin can (ghetto...) that will slightly diverge each of the barrels away from the center and it will also serve as a caddy for ur netting. Depending on how u fold the net, the four balls will spread the net out nicely without tangle.

Another thing... if u were seriously trying to catch something... wouldnt tennis balls bounce and therefore void ur chances of securing ur catch?

Jack thanks for yoru help and yes tradeing a my sister for a gun would be nice.

integral i said id slit open the tennis ball put the net in then use those little tubes of cement to make them nto bounce.

but id also make one with out the cement just so i could catch people in it.

You could always make one with two barrels to catch people. Just some nylon cord between the two balls like a bola.

Ya i would have done that but my sister wants 4 barrels.

whats dumb is whenever i ask her if she wants to pick what design she always says later.

So how big of a net are you going to use?

And I think if she's so intent on a net you should go all out with it. You should put battery packs inside the tennis balls and makes the net out of wire so you could electrify it. Mwahahaha.

hmmm since you want a compact dual valve canon I recall a method that is perfect for this I recall somewhere on spudtech (the forum or site) joel made a compact canon with 2 valves, by tapping 2 ports in 3" or 4" end caps this gave it the similar size to a single valve cannons, the only down side is this will require a large 1" or 3/4" pipe tap, but the method can be used to attach all 4 barrels on a end cap
