The barrel comes off at the camlock. The part of the barrel is screwed to the front of the action. The barrel is 74".From the chamber to the muzzle is 94".
The barrel support slides on the barrel and slides on a piece of 1 1/2 stock jamed into the vent .The black iron threaded pipe is 6". It comes off quite easily.
And yes it took lots of time and a bit of money. 150-200 hrs<img src="

This pic was a mock up of my idea, 3-4 months ago. I hated putting flat stuff on a round object. So I created a flat spot. I used Azek which is flat cellcore PVC.

This is not about your gun directly, but I am interested in how long it takes for you to vent your chamber after each shot? And what do you use to do that? In retrospect I guess this is about your gun, my bad.

spudblaster, the barrel was a 5 foot barrel with a 20'' chamber. the muzzle was about 2 feet from it. it shot at 650 something. i know because i saw it. i know what i was and i beleave it. if you go to burnt lakte there is some chrono testing and he got the same results. i think that tempature playes a roll in volocity.
and i guess i ment a medium combustion, im used to very large cannons, so that is small to me.
and he is using mapp gas, which is that yellow tank, thats the only tank that mapp comes in.

Why does it matter if it runs on Mapp gas ? What else type of gasses are there?

Mapp Burns a little hotter than propane, so it is a little faster. These two are the most popular for bottled gas.

look spudblaster, i know what i saw and im not lying, if you dont believe me that fine, but i know what i saw. And why are you making such a big deal, it is only about 70 fps faster, which isnt too much. all im saying is that he has the mix close, but not perfect. end of discussion
edit- oxygen makes pvc into a little hand-held bomb, dont even try it unless you have a really thick steel chamber.

Were you on some type of mind altering drug? That would make those numbers are wavy and blurry....
