If PVC cement comes into contact with the chamber it will weaken it. the cement is a solvent which means it actually dissolves the PVC and allows it to set again which is how it manages such strong bonds. Sorry for the off topic.

well lets sum that down shall we... ok my eye gets klabered with flames we rant on about useing it as fuel and then you say something that was off-topic. good. it seemed to be a very good fuel though.

The cement isn't the solvent, the primer is.

that's why i siad cement not primer. if it can start flash fires it should be good as a fuel.

Just now i decided to go shoot my spud gun with my friend Ben.
We kept missing a coke can. So stupid me decided to go point blank with a dowel. I shot at the can with a cardboard box as a backstop and then a comforter. It shot through the box then flew back at us luckily we didn't get hit.

In Australia they both are a solvent, but the cemment doesn't have nearly as much solvents in it.
Accidently fired my Golball gun in my shed,it bounced around in there for a good few seconds scared the SHIT out of me and there was dents all through my tool lockers etc.Nothing broken but.

Now that I remember it (well; it didn't happen to me but to someone I know)
My friend's dad, Roy Coon, had made a simple pnumatic using ABS pipe fittings

and a 1 and 1/2" PVC ball valve for fireing held together with some special glue he had. Surprisingly, even though ABS is not pressure rated, the thing still held together. (Look at my drawing)
Anyway, he told me one accident he had was when he was trying to shoot popcorn kernals. He filled the barrel starting from the valve to about 2/3s of the way then stuffed a paper towel on top for wadding. He pressurized the cannon to around 100PSI then fired it and the recoil was so strong, it almost broke the thumb that was holding the valve handle.

this happend when i made my first pneumatic! i filled it to 160psi and i had a marble in the barrel and i was carrying it from my garage to outside, and i had my thumb over the top and the ball valve got caught on my pocket and it opened it, it bloody hurt and i had a very nice bruise for a few weeks luckily no seriuse damage. and another time me and my mate were shooting our slingshots at a target and behind it was a concrete wall and one of the marbles bounced off and came straight towards my head but i ducked to get a marble and it just went over the top of me, another time a marble bounced off the wall and hit the back of my hand! that bloody hurts aswell

I was making a piston gun and I solvent welded the pvc on the piston T without putting the piston in. I quickly opened up the thing once i just realized what i did, and put the piston in. Luckily the gun was made out of cheap crap, so it didn't really matter that much if i screwed it up or not.

Always clear obstuctions befor firing!!

Me and my friend were out in the bush just shooting at trees and stuff with this pneumatic marble rifle we made; I shot at this tree and a split second later there was a "bang" on one of the trees behind us where the marble had bounced of the tree I'd shot at, passed between me and my friend, then hit another tree! That was a little bit freaky, as it seems the marble still had heaps of force on it when it bounced off the tree!!!

My friend shot himself head(under his chin by his jaw bone) with my marble gun at ~20psi while we were wasted.
It was an accident.
We were imitating suicide, except he really pulled the trigger.
