chaos i actually used some stuff from bunnings, it is the stainless steel meter lengths found in the bathroom fittings section. I think they are used normally as towel racks. And now spud gun barrels haha. Pretty sure outer diameter is 15mm OD.

Sleekz the scope was $60 AUD from EBay. Good deal and there are plenty of them to be found. The hardest part is making something to mount the sight mounts to so it will stay on your gun, and then the god awful time-wasting practice of shooting, measuring, dialing in, shooting again, measuring, dialing in... and so on 'til your spot on. Windage and elevation knobs arent useful in everyday situations but still cool to look at.

Yeah Jacks, AA batteries fit well, but im still struggling to find a way to make them travel straight consistently. That is until i find me some ball bearings!

You could try a length of balsa wood or foam, the same diameter as the barrel and cut to the same length as the battery and glued to the end - the effect would be similar to that achieved by the brenneke slug that uses a solid lead head and a light fibre tail end to achieve stability (ignore the "air rifling", it looks like a good idea on paper but doesn't actually do much in practice)

Ah i get it, weight distribution rather than drag. Might try it out, have you had any success with it?

Never tried it with batteries but I've had very succesful results with these slugs I made for my 3/4" exhaust valve launcher, no tumbling at all out to 20 metres at least, they leave perfectly round holes in ply.

kool as man how do AA fit in that? or did you mean AAA? anyways you should try making these darts, ive made them before and there great, but i lost em

Mmm... I'm wondering about how you've got AA batteries in there too.

The barrel on mine is 15mm OD and AA batteries are 14.5mm OD which means they don't fit because the ID of the barrel is 14mm.

Are the walls of 15mm steel actually that thin?

nice gun and not to rain on ur parade but ur chamber is small and is probably potentially decreasing your performance..but anyway ur going for looks so good job!

you gun is very clean and nice but even my small chamber is bigger than yours, good luck let the best gun win

Great rifle. I love the way it looks. Very realistic as far as spudguns go. Any detail on how you seal the breach after loading a round?

So have I but the last time I saw the ones that did manage to fit down 15mm copper they were being seized by police for being counterfeits. I've never found any since.

What brand have you found that works?
