Well, I'm just wondering what the exact shape is. I don't know the difference. In my mind, there's one type of inline vortex.

This is how to make a half circle vortex block and what the differs it from a normal vortex gun. link: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/inline- ... t5259.html

Except that block was so small there wasn't a need for shrouds, they just jammed it. After experimenting with larger sizes, I realize shrouds are a waste of time and I just leave them off. All they seem to do is jam the block and lower the ROF. You also can't grind the front section of a full circle block away.

Grind what away?

And wouldn't mounting a half-circle vortex in the chamber be a royal pain?

You missed this:

Why would mounting the block be a pain? All you have to do is slide it in, then secure it with epoxy, screws, hot glue, whatever.

looks really good

only comment is that i agree with jackssmirkingrevenge, you should lose that front sight and put a red dot sight on that bad boy

good work though

Who needs sights when you can see the constant line of fire :D
Super job mate! Good luck!

thanks, and yeah the sight rail will get added soon, not sure if it will be before the deadline, though. I want the one in my post up there, but am not sure as it is 40 bucks. That would go on the chamber, above the trigger, and it would work just like an m16.

Can't you buy a cheap single shot airsoft M16 like this one and cut it up? you'll get a front sight and rear stock as well in the bargain, and once it's painted a uniform colour it will look the business :)

yeah, that's a great idea, maybe I'll do that. I'll try this airsoft place by me too to see if they have one for their airsoft guns.

Well the idea being to see where the rounds are going to go before they are expelled from the thing. When you guys say red-dot scope, do you mean one that projects a red dot, or one with an internal dot? The internal ones are cool. Of course I always liked the idea of an infrared laser dot and a scope that allows you to pick it up as visible.

Yeah I know, sorry I was kidding. I'm pretty sure those scopes have an internal dot that you can move about and zero.

Any ideas where I could get a sight rail for an M16 or M15A4 assault rifle? I want one that's made for airsoft, or maybe paintball. I definately don't want a red dot scope, though.

In Australia, my local firing range stocks some accessory rails for your standard scopes and sights. But if you live in America, try wal-mart?

Boomer: BEAUTIFUL CREATION! This is easily one of my favorite BBMG's now; its powerful, clean, and ergonomic as well... you should feel REALLY proud of yourself for this awesome creation!

On another note...

Someone really needs to do a test with BBMG's. One BBMG will have a full circle vortex block, and the other will have the half circle vortex block... all other parts of these guns would be the same... the vortex block could even be interchangeable.
