lead bullet weight ?

no origanaly the mini ball was used in a non riffled barrel. but they had bugger all didtance and shocking accuracey.

Yeah basicly. wasent untill the US civil war that riffeling and bullets as we know them started comming into the frey. The first snipper riffels developed where the missassipi long riffels and had unbelevable accurcy for the time. up untill then nothing like it had been seen.
