Does home depot sell those micro valves? I don't know how to deal with y QEV's that go off when you disconnect your bike pump.
the bigger ones pilot easier

It turns out the the schrader DID vent the gun when I removed the air chuck. I made such a ridiculously small pilot volume, that even the slightest venting of air trips the QEV. There is a trick though- take the chuck off very fast.

It's really no big deal, so I'm not going to change anything. I am going to build a portable propane filler though.

But DAMN this thing is powerful! If a human can send a dart 200fps with lung power, I'm almost scared to see what this blowgun on steriods achieves. Gotta get me a chrono.

I only shot it a few times because I have to seal up a minor leak and make some sort of detents to hold the darts in place. But the shots I did make sunk a 1 inch spike dart into a tree stump, and sunk 2 inches of a 4 inch wire dart into the smae trunk. The half that stuck out was bent and twisted like hell.

Much more soon. Promise.

Rmich- I remember a post you made a while back that was something about a 3/4" QEV that was better than Deltrol. What brand was it?

I determined that the small leak is coming from my QEV out the exhaust port. I'll try to fix it but I need another QEV anyway so I might as well buy one.

I don't even know. It's just some random stump laying in front of my house.

How is the flight pattern of the darts? It seems they may be a little light for those speeds.Anyways, looks good.

The spike darts, being the heaviest, fly best. The wire darts are good for close ranges and stun darts are next to useless.

That should explain it. There are some pictures of the breech parts being pieced together. They go together as shown, with wads of JB Weld. Rock solid...

GAA dont make it sawed-off.................. and make sure you have a HUGE peice of plywood as your backing or something so you dont loose those darts. and a link would be nice, i might have to look into that..........

Yeah, configure it so that you can have a stock. Mine is very inergonomic(sp?) without one. Go with a smaller chamber than mine, this one is just too much.

But you'd be surprised, the darts are fairly accurate. And yes, make sure you have a decent backstop to shoot at. Note: don't use your shed.

vh...the barrel is 2 peices...so its basicall a sawed off when its apart...

is a 34.125 ci chamber
and a 28.8 ci barrel a good c:b ratio??

for a 28.8 ci barrel what would the baest chamber size in ci be?
