Expanding foam can take it? I thought it would break and crumble or something
That video I made for my Science/Maths/Physics teacher whos moving to England, he wnated to see the gun but didn't have time. Had him 3 years running, first year he took me for Science, next he took me for maths and he's currently taking me for Physics.

Really nice gun! I'd have to say the olive drab paint is a bit bland though; you need some brown or black in there also.

Youre right expanding foam would just take one hit and be permanently smashed, it has little to no elasticity(sp?)
Also Very clean cannon good paint and excellent design.

Personally, for that money, I would have done it. That's about £20 UK, which is very reasonable over here.
The cheapest a blowgun can be acquired is about £3 (~$8 NZD), and that doesn't include the fittings needed. And a sprinkler valve costs the earth.
There's a reason why I use piston valves and QEVs (the legendary "expensive" valve) - compared to a sprinkler, they cost peanuts for what they do.
BTW, very nice cannon - odd shape, but I assume it works.

I test fire it next to the navy
It used to be dark green, then I didn't like it so i changed it to black where it looked very realistic and dangerous and my paint started to scale so I was left with some 2 year old light green.

For a 1/4" QEV im looking at $40NZD(15UKP) for a 1/2" im looking at $78NZD(29UKP) Its not really worth the slight increase in power or more comfortable design.

Nice work. That thing looks dam powerful, even when you fired just air in the video. Where did you get that ball valve? I need one just like it.

Ever think of putting a spring loaded thingamajigger on your ball valve, might make it easer to fire

Yeah been thinknig about it, Doesn't really need it.
shud_b_rite any NZ hardware store stocks them. 15mm ball valve. Just go over to the gas fittings/plumbing/brass fittings section

That video is pretty ownage, I like the smoke effect it does when you shoot it too.
P.S. I'm digging the camera mounted (taped) on the ßarrel.

Am i the only one that thinks its slightly unsafe that he is shooting into the air in a heavy residential area? what the hell man, you could seriously injure someone!
I apologize in advance if there is something i am missing (ie. you are shooting over some properties into a large open field etc.) but damn it man, you'd better watch out!

Yeah I'm shooting onto a golfcourse 50m away that was closed due to the weather. Im not that reckless.

I was talking about the shape. Read as:

Obviously the cannon works... but I was more interested in the ergonomics - piston valves are nice, but nothing new. The shaping of this is very different to almost all cannons I can think of.
Or is your use of smilies indicating that you knew what I was on about, and you're joking? Damn, I wish I didn't just read over the smilies normally - I might know how to use them better (I
almost never use them.)
Now for my next question - why were the damage videos put together in that order?
It's clear that at least with the second set of them, the video put first happened second (based which holes are there)
You don't need to answer that.
