oooo.... you shouldnt have said that! i have over 5 apples and man are they reliable. and my one pc is on its 3rd tower. pcs suck even with anti-virus software (which by the way macs dont use because macs freeze but dont get viruses). man you just made me mad. macs have like 3x more features and and memory than pcs will ever dream of. oh and by the way macs dont regularly use opera they come standard with safari (which is awesome and better than firefox but firefox is still decent) and firefox. go ahead say something else about macs that isnt true.

Well if I had a career in graphic design or if all I used my computer for was web browsing I would love a mac. I would also probably rather do my taxes on a mac, but other than that I just dont know...

oh. ya. macs have incredible graphic design and sandman you know what im talking about if youve ever seen Shake 4, final cut exprees (which i have) Aperture, Logic Pro, or the all amazinf Leopard. i hope to get Leopard and one or two mac minis beacuse my macs are running a little low on space. i mostly use them for video and photo editing. i also game a lot on them. i have some of the original emacs that are like purple and green and they are updated so i use them for well this and IMing and browsing the net. sandman PM me and we can chat. your one of the very few people i know on here with macs.

I still don't understand why you would want a Mac, the computer I'm currently typing on is the second computer my family has ever bought. No critical system failures after years of abuse.

well ya, pcs can be good if used for simple office work but nowadays its rare to find a computer like that. by that i mean one that can survive. if you have good softwares, harddrives, firewalls, and anti-virus software ya a pc can be good not as goo as a mac but good. thats what i had to do to my pc. macs are over all better computers. for me i doubt i can name like one con but pros can flow endlessly. macs are just better. ok, are you a ford or a chevy guy?

LAWL!! that made me laugh. My neighbor keeps talking about how macs are better, so i stuck an apple sticker on my PC, and covered it in saranwrap and painted it white, except for the sticker. and he thought it was a mac! that made me laugh too.

macs are way higher quality than a pc. oh and as for the ford vs. chevy im a ford guy all the way. even though i like tony stewart. john force is awesome with his record setting mustang. and his daughters are hot AND they drive mustangs. i do like s-10s and s-10 extremes. the same for blazer and blazer extremes. the ranger is like a ford s-10.

And yes apple is bad. Microsoft is bad with small electrical gadgets (I.E. Mp3 players), and apple is bad with computers.

salty, apple might be bad but mac is awesome.and if you buy like 3 mac minis for $500 each you can get the same performance and then you add the memory from the imac cinema display with 2.33 GHz AND (yes this goes on) a mac pro memory and performance tower and youve got your self probably 2-3x the memory and performance without the worry of getting a virus.

but soon hopefully we will be getting another iMac, bot im waiting for Leopard.

Personaly I conclude:
PC's suck by default, but can be made into working machines.
Vista looks bad.
I have never gotten a virus in 3 years with my pc. Only minor spyware occasionally. Not really a big deal though.


Macs suck in general unless you like flashy interfaces and do a lot of multimedia stuff. Also their "mac vs pc" commercials make them look like smug idiots.
If mac rigs become more popular, so to will mac-based viruses


Linux is good, but only if you like to spend tons of time researching what you're doing. Linux distros like ubuntu are good for the average person, however.
