There arent any laws as far as I know. Police has much bigger concerns to worry about
I only shoot in my garden and park area like 30m away, and everyone around me is mellow about it.

And you can bring your phantom and join us at the paintball field
I get really good pipe but for some reason its always blue and the fittings too. I buy all my stuff from a local hardware store called FAB, they specialize in plumbing and irrigation. I occasionally go to Uri's hardware for special fittings, they sell compressor accessories. There is also a hydraulics shop down the road where I get all my o-rings and special high pressure goods.

I would have to agree with you there, although I haven't been to all of SA. Still, JHB has the second best paintball community in SA, first being in Cape Town with PBA and all that.
The worst thing about JHB is the pollution in Winter, it hasn't been so bad this year but it does get pretty bad.

Completely non existent. As long as you don't walk around the street shooting people/property you should be fine. All the government cares about is making money. They disregard everything else.

Pending that I can some how get my phantom into Kenya and later out, I sure will take you up on a game.Kenya has rules similar to Australia. Except,If something can be remotely construed as a firearm the cops most likely are gonna shoot you.
But I'm far enough out in the bush that there are very few cops. The ones that are there are to busy sitting at the base.
I hear of one place in Kenya to play PB.Somewhere in Nairobi.I still haven't found it yet.I sometimes wonder if the Brits built Nairobi to confuse tourists.Nothing makes sense in that city.

It would be awesome if you could get your phantom down! If you do come down, tell me and I could maybe go up there and stay with friends/play paintball!

Well I read an article today in an online Kenyan newspaper. The cops are pulling executions in the street on the Mungiki mafia(mungikies are beheading people). It seems the mafia is using toy guns to rob people and general intimidation. The cops are mowing them down.So I think my phantom may be staying home and my spudguns for that matter. I have a slight phobia of being riddled with bullets.
I guess that bumps me down to my slingshot for recreational monkey shooting and a rental when I go to play.

You're sorta right specialist.I'm in South Carolina. And I do have the shop.My dad used to be a mechanic/hobby woodworker so the shop is for his tools while were in Africa. We sold our house in the suburbs and we moved out to the farm which is only 6 acres, but surrounded by forest. This let my folks become missionaries to Kenya(my dad had been doing work in Africa for years). That's why I have the Africa experience.I'll be heading back over sometime and stay for 6 months.
