Nice looking cannon.
But well done.
I dont see much ghetto about it, other than the pop bottle, which isnt REALLY ghetto. But I prefer "non-ghetto" cannons any day.Its kinda ghetto but I'm ghetto all the way so it fits
But well done.
really good quote/phrase here
I just figured that a ball valve made me ghetto
I got an interview for a new job today so I'll have some more duckets coming in soon. Booyah = more cannons for me
Edit: Im going to try to make a bi-pod for the front so it helps when I put the laser on it

Thanks for the compliment though, I try to make quality items. I'm still new to this, so its trial and error.Nice looking cannon.

I've got the laser and it came with a little tac light too. I also have a mini compressor that goes to 250psi
Time to build a proper chamber and get a sprinkler valve I think. Bi-pod in the works.
Edit: My barrel is about 70cm(28") atm, should I make it a bit longer if I'm going to using around 120+ psi?

I tested my cannon on a bombed out old van wind screen yesterday, I'm happy to say that at 140 psi a size 4 sinker went clean through it and fractured the laminate
and still had enough to dent the back boot panel. Do I love my little pneumatic or what? I may never bother with a combustion again.
Well I'm thinking of a cannon with a mod sprinkler valve and inter-changeable barrels.
I'm also trying to find a used fire extinguisher bottle for a chamber(does anyone think that the trigger of an extinguisher would be able to dump air fast enough to be an effective trigger? It would be nice to kill two birds with one stone).
I'll probably design it as an under over to keep it portable and it would be nice if it had a stock of sorts. I'm sure I can figure something out

Id like to keep it kind of compact, so barrel 20mm and about 1 meter and I'm not sure how they measure extinguishers but i think it's in kg so about between 1.5 and 3 kg would be fine I suppose.
I'll definitely post it when it's done, no doubt I'll have a few questions though.

Nice gun, i am still amazed at how much those thin-walled soda bottles can hold. You should try seing what kind of anti-fire capability it has without water. the air blast alone could probably put some stuff out. As others said, make sure ur carefull firing water if you make anything bigger, i broke my big gun (with hand made piston valve) firing with water. Recoil blew gun out of my hand and it snapped upon hitting the floor. A busted gun is no fun.
thanks for looking at my canon
yes its impractical in this dimensions but the over all concept of using a small amount of water and vapourising it has potential.
this kind of method is used to keep the trucks from catching on fire in a blow over.
It could also be used to put out fires on power polls too. Of course they water canons would not be as small and simplistic as mine but the principle could be used
