either that, or shoot shotgun sprays of crap.... another thing that works well is corn cobs from corn-on-the-cob. (makes a great end to a party. eat corn, pull out pipe dream, shoot the cobs across the yard.......)
and what happened to my good old starchy friend the potato?
You should really replace the word "crap" with "stuff", because my first thought was, I'm not gonna put *that* in my cannon. Arrows sound good. But with wax slugs you can vary the shape and mass until you find something that works well for your cannon.

Hi,
Thanks for the ideas, particularly the one with the corn cobs.
The barrel is nice an smooth; the eggs were muzzle loaded through it without breaking. But OK the conclusion seems to be, eggs don't work anyway.
I could also try with those ... what's the name .. potatoes?

with teh hard boiled eggs... perhaps just try and freeze them solid after you have boiled them, this might make them a bit tougher before you shoot them.

Hey
Freezing the eggs works great!! I can take the beast to 8 bar now, without anything disintegrating but the target. The eggs do expand, and the shell cracks. I just removed the shell on the sides, and the eggs fit into the barrel again.
I'll get some pics of the gun and the damage it does soon.

Hi,
Here are the damage pics.
Thinking about it, I'm not going to shoot at trees again. They have a right to be in the forest; my gun doesn't.
Anyway ... frozen eggs are great for a GB barrel.

Woahoho (pronouned: wo-hoe-hoe. In context: Super man exclaimed," woahoho, thats a huge one!") thats pretty damn awesome, I wont lie. I love the eggs too, red and crossed.
If you put a raw egg in vinegar (aprox. 36 hours or more) it draws all the moisture out the egg and dissolves the outer hard skin, turning it into a jelly ball that you can even bounce (like bouncy ball). If you did that, (could also freeze it), it could work well too.

hey nice damage, good to see that freezing them worked.
your barrel fits golf balls doesn't it? if so ya should just get one and shoot it at the highest pressure you can achieve. i think somehow you would want some neater ammo to go with the sxc valve.
