Yeah, it was a bit of a no-contest for the pengun project last time round

OK, I need to know, is there anything that comes with premixed air and propane, or something like that. No acetylene. Premixed is my best bet at the moment, if I can get somethign premixed, I can get my ideal ROF.

What about having a set theme for the contest. i.e. Semi-automatics, Minis, etc..

I say...Wait till I get back from America! :D I would probably enter like 5 cannons. Honestly I think we should give it a few more months, I know it will be winter for you guys soon but deal with it

I really like the idea of another contest, because I havent been in one here yet; and have something up my sleeve other than an arm

I only have one problem/suggestion though:
Why does the winner have to win prize money? Surely they can just win the rights to get their cannon on the home page and gain some respect from everyone? I say this because I wouldnt be able to enter, as I cant do an internet transaction to pay for entrance fees. This is due to the fact that I dont own my own card/ account and my dad would refuse to pay for me on his card
Thats just a suggestion though; but otherwise the sound of a competition sounds great!

I'll chip in a vortex block or two for second/third place.

I would be happy paying a small entrance fee for a competition. Paypal could be used to collect the money from everyone in other countries. But like MrCrowley said I think we should give it a few more months. Also because I am a slow builder because I have too many other things to do.

Great, contest cant wait (whenever it will be that is)

now on that idea of prizes, yes i think that instead of money for 2nd and 3rd place winners, perhaps parts would be a good idea.
i would also be up for a $5 entrance fee, as long as bank deposit is accepted, paypal is not really an option for me atm but i should be gettin it soon.

this should be good i hope we can find a way to get this to run in a few months.

oh edit: form November 28th to January 2nd i will be in America. hope its not organized for then

ok heres my idea.....well not mine but its like the uksgc comp. you should have a design competition...so design the best/most revolutionary cannon for a set price...say 200dollars.....who everhave the best design gets the money to make the launcher....but i think there should be a entry fee to make up expenses

ok well you would have to provide a table off all the components and the retail value...does that make scence? you could always put the money to charity...or donate to spudfiles;)

What's wrong with just running it as before but holding off for a few months?

I'm working on a large pneumatic but it's only based around Joel megalaucher (improved design though) so not sure it it's worth entering.....

My only problem with that is that I believe some of the judging should be in the craftsmanship and look of the cannon, which isnt possible in a design
