The northeast, where I am, got a lot of snow. Trees that still had leaves on them were breaking or falling down all over. We lost power for most of the day, friends back home (I'm at uni) say the power company predicts they'll restore power by 11:30 tonight, which would put them at just over 36 hours of no power.

I remember when we got hit by a surprise icestorm we had no power for a week and half.

Almost this time 3 years ago we hit 200,000 posts. Now we're at ~320,000. We're still averaging over 120 posts per day (since the first readable post on Spudfiles back in October '04).

oh lol yesterday night i was using my fridge compressor, and the power went out in my house and i thought the compressor had shorted, so i was messing with candles and torches in my house and there were people on my street running around with flashlights and today we found out some bum fired a firework into a power line killing power to my town.

A few years ago my neighbor backed out of his driveway rather fast without looking and ran directly into his electrical box. What sucked was that all the power for our whole side of the street came through that box.

worst iv had was a few summers back they had to cut the power on really hot days to make sure hospitals had enough electricity for keeping people alive.

I was looking for a new phone, I want something with a keyboard, and android.

I saw this HTC; (Chacha)



Dunno if this is a ladyphone, but apart from the gay name and FB-button it seems pretty appealing

I will have to handle it in a different way than my current phone tough, I don't think this one likes being thrown across the living room
