I swear it never leaves you, I still have an odd fascination with valves and pipes and all sorts... I'll build something someday.
Nive to hear from you! Same here.. I got here when I was 15 and now I'm close to 27. I can't even look at lamp post without seeing a barrel in it.. all pipes are barrels or chambers for my eyes

I'm building oxy-propane vortex cannon at the moment :alien:

Came across this thing today:

Image

Reminds me of a previous project, but these guys seem to be serious about it as a viable commercial product...

The answer is usually "because we can :D"

Good catch, I would find it hard to believe that a professional with combat experience would see the need for such a device.

From the manual

'Operation:
To deploy your Bayonext, first point it in a safe and clear direction.

WARNING: When retracting (closing) the spike do not push the tip against any delicate or smooth/finished surface such as a table top or you will permanently damage the surface. Also, you should NEVER attempt to retract (close) the spike with your hand or any part of your body. Serious injury can occur.'

At least they are safety conscious, don't want it to hurt anybody........... hey wait a minute
