Thanks for that, I don't have to try it someday now, I'll add that fingers aren't bulletproof if you put them against a 3mm bb with ~20000PSI of 2000C gases.
I don't have pictures, though picture a small volcano without lava, barely hurt for the whole two weeks it took to heal.
Then the "professionals" cut it open and took out my metal detector pinger.

I agree completely. I think JSR identified the reason when he said :
Spudding is a fairly transient hobby for most people.
If someone is just passing through SF, I think they're likely to build something akin to a "Saturday Night Special" then move on rather than devote time, skill and patience to a well designed and constructed project.
Way back when, piston valves , hybrids, and semi/full-automatic guns were just being developed, which stirred intrest in building new projects. As of now, there's some innovation going on, but nothing as revolutionary as past spudgun inventions.
For a designer / builder with dedication, there's unlimited room to push the envelope and totally eclipse those early designs. JMO

That's punny.
Sorry for my lack of innovation. I've been slacking.

Well right now my pump is totally out of commission (no gauge
and no connectible head), and since I don't own anything other than the very basic tools and use my neighbor's tools for most everything, my ability to do almost anything but shoot is dependent on getting a chance to go over to his house...
For me personally, the cold weather isn't much of an impediment, walking outside for about 5 minutes to set up a target and do a few shots in below-freezing conditions doesn't bother me.

Something about "toy cigarettes", I normally have to pop a couple of paracetamol before going to bed after a heavy night out, as a kind of "pre-emptive strike" to mitigate the hangover the next day.
Vaping instead of smoking made an incredible difference, I made sure to drink some water before nodding off but nothing else, and woke up perfectly lucid after some hardcore festive season boozing on both Friday and Saturday night
Also, spudder's bathtub

I believe that is a utility sink.
And while I pay homage to the guy's ingenuity, there should be two check valves in there.

JSR I find it funny how you seem to nudge the off-topic thread back towards spud-related stuff(especially those first few pages) and everywhere else it's the exact opposite

My sister showed me that vid. she almost pissed herself
And I think with the flow of those ball-valves, you have filled your bathtub in an instant
