Of course... it was the thread warning of hearing damage from a burst latex tube which prompted me to try it

Sweet!
I had some glassware that was cracked and was to be thrown out, seemed a shame not to shoot it first

If you are going to shoot a light bulb, do it when it is on. They did that on the History channel and the filament flies around still lit up. It's cool...

I'll just post this here. I know everyone like shooting at bottles of water so I decided to try it while I am waiting for my hybrid parts from Mobile Chernobyl.
I will get something cooler in a while. I am busy with other stuff now that I don't have the hybrid.

I have a request for a High Speed Camera video...
Get a piece of foam, and jam it tightly into your pneumatic gun barrel. Make sure it is tight and it shrinks a lot when you push it in. Get a video of it exiting the barrel and unraveling... that should be pretty cool.

Anybody?

Nice one spudfarm, good to see the projectile in flight as well as how the hydrostatic shock blows off the cap of the bottle

Thank you. I'll try to do it on a bigger scale later.
I just did another shot, AA battery VS cell phone. I should chrony those batteries.

My pneumatic only has a 1/2" barrel so it should not be dramatic. I can make a Small APFSDS round and film it's exit though.
Waiting for extremely bright sunlight with that one, need high shutter speeds.

I saw that exact show... The one that they were sighting in an m4 right? I think it was a 400 yard shot...
I my pellet gun wasn't working last I checked, so a bouncy ball will have to do...

No I believe it was the sniper version of an M16 at 600 yards. Close enough though :tongue3:

That's the best I could manage with the tiny narrow barrel on mine. Unexpectedly, it never unraveled fully.

Hmmm... Slap a big barrel on it and then chuck a giant piece of foam in and see what happens!

Here's a cut down version of the coin challenge video. Disappointing lack of muzzle flash here compared to some previous shots, but it's tough to argue with the results
