What do you guys know about internet radio stations? I kinda want to make my own radio station now, because the ones in my area are complete sh!t now, so I need a new station with music that I like. Any suggestions?

^^^^ look into the legal aspects first. Everything from music royalties, broadcast licensing, etc can be a royal problem if you don't do it right. If you go pirate radio, go low power so you don't attract too many complaints too soon. There is more to being properly licensed than just turning on a transmitter and playing your CD collection.

Low power FM if supported in your area is a great place to start. Larger metropolitan areas tend to have all frequencies taken. If you are in a large market, look into starting as an Internet station.

The big issue is what will you broadcast?
If you are broadcasting over the internet without any form of licensing, it is not illegal. Unlike standard radio (going via FM/AM or DAB) you do not need a 'license' to broadcast, to own that wavelength on an AM/FM band so to speak. That is the beauty of the internet, no one 'owns' it and therefore it is yours to use how you like, there is no limit to the number of streams you can run.

However, if the content of your stream includes any copyrighted material - you are at risk and may be breaking the law if you do not hold the permission of the copyright holder - which for most commercial music is the record label or the artist themselves.
