A decent piston valved cannon with a huge chamber with a long 1.5" barrel and some wadding should do the job. Not bad for $12.

Nice though a little on the heavy side - seems a shame to fire it off though, you'd want some system to make it recoverable.

He said that it only weighed 70 grams, that isn't very heavy. Right now I'm putting together a 4 pound steel and concrete round to fire from my burst disk gun. This is a lot more advanced than mine though.

It's all relative, certainly heavier than the same thing made out of dowels, ply and rubber bands but for the diameter I suppose 70 grams is reasonable.
