Nothing's machined, I used a hot wire cutter to slice the foam into sheets and cut out the rough shape of the profile to make the two halves. I then formed the outside contours with rough sandpaper getting progressively finer, hollowed out the insides to leave a 1mm thick wall then glued the halves together and did some fine finish. This process was used for both the fuselage and the engine nacelles. Wings and tail are made from 1.5mm thick sheets.

1.5mm sheets?? :lol: i only have like 30mm sheets and boards with me :D

me too, but if you string a hot wire across a flat surface and slide the board through, you can get sheets at almost any thickness you want ;)
