Maybe but it would be a cow of a job- all those angled holes!
I'd stick to straight, but who knows it could work brilliantly

Edit: Angled holes would increase the time it would take for the gas to reach the chamber of the silencer, so i think it might decrease performance (noise reduction).

Edit edit: Unless it by some way increases the surface area of the "hole" or slit

i'm putting horozontal cuts across the top of the barrel so it shouldn't be too much of a pain making them angled.

well i would have thought it would allow the air to enter the silencer quicker and therefore taking out more air, but on second thoughts that could induce topspin whuch is definitly not what i want, i want the opposite.

Angled holes will only deflect air at an angle if there's enough barrel thickness, it's not worth the bother with spudgun barrels.

ok cool i will stick with un-angled holes. and would the holes be better on the top for about 20cm or on the top and bottom for 10cm? i suspect that more holes near the muzzle will be better
