i might just have to try it out doe sit work well with thin wires? and is there any delay between pushing the button and the cannon firing?

There souldnt be much of a delay.
I think current travels it the speed of light......I dono that mite be a bit quick speed of sound mabe?

Well I use the Christmas lights, and there's really no delay. I assume it would work with wires, though I never actually tested that one after I found out my dad was throwing out all the old lights.
